A matching pair of British Admiralty / Royal Navy pattern ship's Port and Starboard navigation lanterns. Constructed from copper with brass fittings, glass fresnel lenses and original oil burners.
Applied brass plaques stamped BOW PORT PATT 23 & BOW STARBOARD PATT 24, The lanterns are also stamped: ALDERSON & GYDE LTD, BIRMINGHAM, 1944 & 1945. - Height to top of chimney 16" / 40 cm - max 18" / 46 cm.
Made by Eli Griffiths & Son and dated 1916 & 1918. Complete with original oil burners, enamelled reflector, wick key and carry handle with wooded grip. Wardroom lanterns are regarded by many to be the Rolls Royce of ship lanterns due to the design and build quality

Antique ships search light. This Francis search light was reputedly removed from a scrapped RNLI lifeboat.
The chrome plated brass search lamp has been polished and mounted on an antique mahogany tripod.
It has been re wired to operate on 240 volts and accommodate modern light bulbs.
This decorative maritime antique certainly makes a statement and it has a maritime style all of its own.
