ANTIQUE SEXTANT.

An early 19th Century unsigned diamond frame navigators Sextant.

The silver scale is engraved from -5 degrees to 150 degrees and can measure angles up to 128 degrees, it is divided into 15 minute increments. The silver Vernier scale reads from 0 to 15 seconds of arc and the index arm if fitted with a swinging scale magnifier.

The Sextant has a radius of 8 inches / 20cm and a height of 10 inches / 25cm.

This antique Sextant is contained within its original keystone shaped hardwood box. It has two telescopes and one eye piece sun filter.
