A late 19th century navigators Sextant, brass frame with 3 ring design. Faintly engraved on the arc Davies, Swansea.
The silver scale is engraved from -5 degrees to 155 degrees and can measure angles to 129 degrees, it is divided into 10 minute increments. The index arm has swinging scale magnifier, the silver Vernier scale reads from 0 to 10 seconds of arc. 6 inch radius.
This antique Sextant is contained within its original hardwood box. It comes complete with all its accessories - Three telescopes, eye piece sun filter and adjusting pin.
